Maintain high cleanliness standards of the pool and surrounding area and assist with guest requests providing a quality guest experience. The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the pool area, replenishing towels, keeping chairs and tables lined in a orderly fashion and assisting guests with any special needs they may have.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Pool Attendant Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests with a welcoming & friendly attitude and ensure that they have a safe & enjoyable experience.
- Oversee the cleanliness and the daily upkeep of the pool area
- Ensure all guests are aware of all services and activities available at the pool.
- Follow all safety & sanitation policies.
- Set-up pool area with towels, ensuring that towel rack is fully stocked of fresh towels for guest use.
- Remove all used towels from unoccupied chaise lounges & replenishes with new towels
- Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and furniture throughout shift
- Remove trash & debris from pool and surrounding areas
- Sweeping pool deck and dining area around pool.
- Wipe down tables and chairs as needed, following commitment to clean procedures
- Wipe down all furniture in the cabana area
- Communicates issues with manager on duty when necessary
- Maintain a working knowledge of hotel amenities and services to provide guests with accurate information
- Understands and enforces pool rules including reporting unruly guests behavior to security when necessary
- Communicate pleasantly and courteously with guests, management and associates.
- Ensure compliance with COVID-19 policies and procedures
Pool Attendant Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Energetic & outgoing personality
- Must be service oriented with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow associates
- Behaves with integrity, honesty and is open with guests and fellow associates.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
- Position may be required to work varied schedule that may include evenings/nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
- High school or equivalent education preferred
- CPR Certification required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job it will require To:
- Must be able to tolerate temperature changes from hot to cold and cold to hot in an outdoor setting
- Must be able to tolerate noise and vibration and a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, working on scaffolding and high places.
- Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
- Frequently, use hands for keyboard and arms to reach.
- Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 40 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
- Ability to push and pull up to 300lbs.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1-2 years in a guest service experience in a full-service hotel, restaurant or
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must possess a high level of high-quality standards & organization
- Complete knowledge and understanding of the service industry, policies and procedures to include sanitation.
- Proficiency working with various computer programs including but not limited to Micros and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
