Corporate Marketing Coordinator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Promote awareness of the company, hotel, and restaurant/bar/outlets images internally and externally. Create and execute social media posts and campaigns as well as respond to guest comments on these channels. Help develop marketing materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials, maps, etc.) for promotional events, property tours, and conferences. Prepare or edit letters, invitations, monthly and quarterly internal enewsletters, press reports, and news releases, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software. Make updates to property website. Assist with photo and video shoots. Respond to all daily general media inquiries or refer to an appropriate spokesperson. Monitor media coverage and other external factors to identify potential or actual problem areas and opportunities. Support media/influencer relations outreach efforts and other activities to bolster the property's reputation and image in the community. Coordinate on-property visits from media/influencers, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining. File and update press database, digital library, and press clippings.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Security Department.

· Respond to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, direction and information as requested when working in

public areas.

· Keep detailed files and records on all matters relative to property's marketing materials (photo usage rights, vendor

contracts, etc.).

· Ensure that property is following all corporate marketing guidelines.

· Available to work at various days and times, as required. Includes, weekends, Holidays and evenings.

· Attend, weekly marketing team meetings and other meetings as required/ requested.

· Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Corporate Director of Marketing or other supervisors.

KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Travel, hospitality or luxury goods background preferred

· 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration, or related major.

· 2-years’ experience in public relations, communications, advertising or related professional area.

· Familiarity in using MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook to include graphs, tables and other

spreadsheet functions.

· Familiarity in using social media such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Yelp and others.

· Discreet, able to maintain confidentiality and handle difficult inquiries with finesse.

· Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and have high levels of

patience and organization.

· Strong organizer with the ability to maintain comprehensive and cohesive records.

· Efficient user of standard office equipment such as a telephone, computer, facsimile and copy machine.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

· Valid driver’s license required.

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

· Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience,

tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to move throughout the work area while performing the essential job functions.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to sit and walk for extended periods of time.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as outlined in the employee handbook.

· Ability to work varying shifts and maintain attendance in accordance with the hotel’s attendance policy.

· Ability to comply with hotel rules and regulations including policies regarding safety and grooming standards.
